review: Dig Ten Graves by Heath Lowrance

That's right, he's done it again. Heath Lowrance just e-published "Dig Ten Graves
" on the Amazon Kindle format. "Dig Ten Graves" is a collection of ten (+one bonus) stories ranging from Lowrance's signature noir to tales that defy definition. Lowrance wears his heart on his sleeve here, while pinning your soul to the wall. This would be well worth standard paperback pricing but you can get it on the Kindle format for only 99 cents.

Paul D Brazill (Drunk On The Moon, Guns Of Brixton, 13 Shots Of Noir) wrote: "Heath Lowrance follows up his classic debut, THE BASTARD HAND, with a searing collection of hard-boiled, dark fiction. The blackest of noir permeates the pages of DIG TEN GRAVES and oozes into its dark alleyways, its blood stained streets and its rain soaked gutters - even the crevices on the faces of its battle scarred and booze battered protagonists."

The haunting cover photo is courtesy of the über-talented photographer, Dawn Sketch. This image as well as others can be seen this Saturday evening (8/13/2011, 6-9p) at the Roots in Detroit photography exhibit at the old winery building in Farmington, MI (Grand River just w. of Orchard Lake Rd.).
